(Note:Kohana-chan's appearance changes a little bit when she changes into Sailor Gaia such as her eye color becomes darker, her bangs become shorter, and the rest of her hair grows longer. This was done as an extra effort so that she wouldn't be recognized in her original form.)

Persoality: Kohana Amarante is a sweet, domestic, polite young lady with a case of extreme shyness. A chick that is timid and insecure and doesn't know how to put herself out there. She's that quiet girl in class that sits in the row that doesn't say much and seems to always have a blank expression on her face. Cause of this a lot her classmate's misunderstand her and think that she unapproachable and often tend to avoid her. Her ultimate goal is to change herself to be a more "likable" person and make some friends.

Magical Items: Magical Barrette- a hair piece that has pretty, pink flower bud on it that holds the Diamond of Delphi which allows Kohana to transform and is the source of her power.

Weapons/Powers:

Eden's Scepter - A green and gold wand that Sailor Gaia uses to summon up her attacks. Can also be used in hand to hand combat.

Solar Earthian Cosmos - A concentration of energy from both the Sun and the Earth. Sailor Gaia's most powerful attack but is also a double edge sword because her body is used as a beacon to attract the energy needed to fire it through the Scepter, putting it through a lot of strain. If she uses it more that five times it can cause severe internal damage.

Rose Petal Dance - An attack that uses rose petals as throwing stars, can be used as an offensive and defensive attack.

Lavender Dream Pollen - A spell that can put people to asleep and erase their memories of current events. Sure comes in handy when you have some unwanted witnesses.

Healing Synthesis - A pulse of power that can heal people, animals, and plants. Can also drive away shadows.

Likes: Flowers, rain, people, recycling, cooking, knitting, helping people, holidays/events, and animals.
Dislikes: Fighting, her demeanor, pollution, seeing people in pain, and evil.

Biography: Kohana Amarante is an honest, gentle girl with a love for growing green things. She comes a middle class, blue collar family of four with a funny mother who runs the family flower shop, a loud father who works as a carpenter, and a mischievous martial artist for a little brother. All of them live in an old apartment building that was renovated to be a flower shop and home. In the household she is the quiet and more reserved one of the bunch and to the Amarante family it was just one of the things that made their “little flower” special. Kohana though doesn’t really like this part of her because it has made her somewhat of an outcast in school

Since she is shy and timid it is hard for Kohana to put herself out there and converse with her classmates. Cause of this and her lack of good social skills some kids her age believe that she is anti-social and tend to avoid her while others think that she is weird and bully her. Due to her modesty and belief that she has many faults prevents her from correcting people's misconceptions about her and doesn’t defend herself from her bullies cause she doesn’t like to fight. What she wants more that anything in the world is to become a “likable and bright” person so that she can get along with her classmates and hopefully makes some friends.

Kohana discovered that she was a Scout on normal day while out running errands with her brother Hikaru. As they entered the shopping district Kohana sees that the sakura tree near the entrance was in bloom. She complemented its beauty and gave it a kiss (a habit she formed as a child to show plants love that they can grow) then went inside one of the shops not noticing that the branch she kiss began glow momentarily. When they were done shopping Kohana went to admire the cherry blossoms one more when she found a small, floral barrette in its branches. Thinking that someone must of lost it she took the pretty hair piece and started a mission to find its “owner.” She only left her brother outside for only a few minutes as she walked inside one of the shops to began her search when she heard a huge commotion outside.

She ran outside to find part of the district destroyed, several people injured, and a hideous monster in the middle of it all. The creature growled about the “Negaverse” and sensing a “strange power nearby.” Then to her horror it focused its attention on Hikaru! The thing then breathed black fire and hurled at the boy. Without a second thought Kohana jumped in front of her brother and was engulfed by the flames. In that moment she heard a woman’s voice in her head telling that it was time for her to awaken and the pink flower barrette in her hand blossomed revealing a green, princess cut diamond in a golden heart brooch that bore the symbol for Earth. The brooch then attached itself to her chest surrounding her in ribbons and flower petals that transformed in a green sailor scout. The transformation dispelled the fire as a green and gold scepter appeared in her hands.

With the help of the mysterious voice and her instincts Kohana fought off the monster before finishing it off with “ Solar Earthian Cosmos” which made her collapsed to her knees in exhaustion. Her little brother hobbled to her side who was just as confused as she was. The voice now spoke to both of them revealing herself to be the spirit of the earth also known as Mother Earth. She told them that she has had enough of this evil reeking havoc over and over again on her world decided it was her turn to fight back. So she searched and searched for someone worthy enough to be her representative until she found and chose Kohana to be the scout of this planet and of Humanity. She had spiritually adopted Kohana as her daughter and named her after her Greek counterpart Gaia. Then she instructed her “little fairy” to go find the other Sailor Scouts so that she could lend them her aid and banish this evil once and for all. Before left the kids alone Mother Earth said that she’ll be there when they need her and that she’ll watch over them. After the encounter the new Sailor Gaia healed the injured, put them to sleep, and erased their memories of what had happened. Then she turned back into Kohana and she and Hikaru ran away from the wreckage. They decided not to tell their parents about Kohana’a alter ego so that they wouldn’t be in any danger. Together they start their journey of fight evil and search for the other Sailor Scouts.

Additional Information: Kohana is still very new to her powers and hasn’t to meet any of the Scouts. Well not yet anyways…
